We must heed Attenborough’s plea for Planet Earth
Dear Sir,
I have just watched Sir David Attenborough’s latest film, David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet.
It is available on Netflix and sends a powerful and passionate message regarding the future of Planet Earth, which we should all heed.
I urge all who can to watch it, and I hope it can be made available in our schools.
It is my hope that Bermuda will play a leading role in North Atlantic marine conservation and set an example through the eventual elimination of reliance on fossil fuels through the increasing use of renewable energy.
By so doing, I believe that Bermuda and its people will not only benefit Planet Earth but will help ensure the sustainability of our ecosystem and, in particular, our coral reefs, thereby ensuring that future generations will continue to be able to say that Bermuda is indeed another world.
