Somerset Bridge ferry dock (File photograph)
Dear Sir,
I wish to share this meaningful and good news with you and your readers.
Back in January, thereabouts, I lost an envelope with five pictures in it as I rode easterly towards Hamilton. Well, last week Thursday, October 1 — a double victory — the pictures came back to me.
I wish to thank the anonymous person for mailing them back to me, and the post office for delivering them.
The fisher boy and his dad will have picture memories of that Cup Match 2019-period fishing expedition on the Somerset Bridge ferry dock to cherish, plus a new mate they socialised with while there.
The person who found the pictures showed care, for which I am very appreciative. Glad my name and address were still on the recycled Christmas card envelope.
Small things matter. Thank you again.
ROGER LAMBERT
